Should I speak with the other party's insurance company?

Absolutely not. If you have not already done so, it is best not to discuss your case with anyone other than your treating doctors and someone from Salomon & Aquino. Statements that you make to others will not be protected and will be used against you to reduce the value of your claim. If you have already spoken with the other party's representative, get that person's name and tell us about that conversation so that we cam immediately get a copy of your statement.

How soon will my case be settled?

The process of negotiating settlements with insurance companies usually does not begin until after you have completed most, if not all of your treatment. While you are trying to recover, we will collect your medical records, monitor your treatment, address any unpaid bills, and put the other party's insurance company on notice of our involvement. We will keep you updated on the status of our efforts and of our negotiations every step of the way. At Salomon & Aquino, we prepare for trial, but participate in settlement discussions. In this way, if we determine that a fair settlement will not occur, we are prepared to immediately file a lawsuit on your behalf.
